JAMES MCQUAID
Chairman
Jim McQuaid possesses an impressive 45+ years in the direct mail, catalogue and retail industries. In 1976, he merged his company Marketing Electronics Corp. with MetroMail Corp., later taking the combined firm public until it was acquired by RR Donnelley in 1987. Earlier in his career, Mr. McQuaid held positions with Spiegel, Montgomery Ward, and Consumer Systems Corp. Although he retired from MetroMail in 1996, Mr. McQuaid has been involved with several venture capital firms in the Chicago area as an investor, board member and interim CEO.
Mr. McQuaid is a past Chairman of the Direct Marketing Association's Board of Directors where he served as a board member for 12 years. He has served on many of the organization’s committees, including privacy, technology and list practices, and was co-chairman of list leaders. He is also a past member of the Advertising Mail Marketing Association's Board of Trustees. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago.
DAVE BEAL
President
Dave Beal has extensive experience in operations, beginning his career in the foundry industry where he held roles in supervision, engineering and foundry management. He joined the Company in 1999
as the Quality Manager for the Mt. Pleasant facility. Mr. Beal was promoted to Production Manager
with successive promotions to Sr. Production Manager, Director of Manufacturing, Director of Plant
Operations, and most recently, General Manager. He has led quality initiatives including
implementation of SPC, GMP and AIB compliance and ISO 9001 certification. He also has a strong
background in lean initiatives and continuous improvement. As Director of Plant Operations, Mr.
Beal leads a plant staff encompassing production operations, distribution, client services, quality,
continuous improvement, equipment and facilities development and human resources.
Mr. Beal
received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Iowa Wesleyan College and earned an
Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa.
FRANK HARTER
Vice President - Finance
Frank Harter has more than 30 years of experience in operations and corporate finance positions,
including extensive experience in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions. He has
experience in large corporate and medium, private companies in manufacturing and distribution
environments. As a VP of Finance for a valve manufacturer, he successfully completed two
international and two domestic mergers that doubled the size of the company in six years.
Immediately prior to joining the company in April of 2007, he was the VP Finance of a $200+
million division of Thermo Fisher Scientific, a $9 billion company.
Frank has a bachelor’s degree in
Accounting from Michigan State and an MBA in Finance from DePaul University in Chicago.
